Recently, returning home to a hundred year old plus Victorian house, there was a loud noise on the back porch. Flicking on the light, before me was a beautiful owl, sitting on a chair. (See photo). Owls are an ancient symbol of wisdom. Wisdom, as knowing, is an advanced level of consciousness that relies on various sources of information. Stress responses, via psychological and physical processes, can interfere with and block the portal to wisdom. Here is a tool to help you better manage stress:

Take multiple deep belly yoga-style breaths, in through the nose and exhale through the mouth, making the exhale longer, by count, and visualizing your heart center.

  1. Focus your attention to the present moment. Big breath. Where are you in space? How do you feel? Name your surroundings.
  2. Embrace the moment
  3. Accept the moment without judgement
  4. Enjoy the moment, by choice, with orgasmic bliss
  5. Be sincerely grateful for this life and your spiritual journey
